Soft, flowy 100% rayon fabric is the perfect dress for hot weather! Hi-Lo style- higher in the front, longer in the back- very flattering for all shapes and sizes.
I take both color and style of the garment into consideration when I decide what pattern I am doing. The designs on my hi-los follow the contours of the dresses and create a natural "collar" and hem accents. My technique is ice-dye, a variation of classic tie dye, in which I use ice cubes and dry dye powders instead of liquid dyes. This gives a softer more marbled look to the dyes.
The dress pictured is a Medium in a blend of purples and blues. All my clothing has been preshrunk. Note: 100% rayon does not stretch like cotton jersey.
